These Rutherford County, NC, Bridges folk migrated first to Franklin County, Kentucky, then to Tennessee, with the Van Zandts and the Blackbums also from Rutherford County, NC. Among these folks were Moses Bridges & his wife Mary Blackburn, both born in NC & both died in MS. There is a book, though I don't know the name of the author offhand called "Blackburns: Yesterday & Today" which might be helpful as the migration from NC is discussed. There is also quite a bit of Van Zandt
material available (some is on the internet a word of advice is to use
the material as a potential lead only if the material gives sources, go
directly to the source I mention the Van Zandt material as these folks
also came from Rutherford County, NC).
Ephriam Bridges' father was Moses Bridges b. October 12, 1773 Rutherford County, NC. He married Mary Blackburn b. July 8, 1774, Rutherford County, NC. (Moses & Mary migrated to KY, TN, then MS). There are those researchers who insist that Moses1 father was also a Moses and others that insist that his father was a William. By 1812, these Bridges' folk were in
Tennessee, having already migrated from NC to KY then TN and by
1820 to MS.
The children of Moses & Mary:

It is likely that other family members from NC, joined these folk...at some point. Good Luck!
