Harvy , I'm taking the liberty of contacting you about a small
glitch in my Hickman family research. According to probate records
for Drury Chandler (his wife was Nancy Hickman), the following
applies to Drury's son: William Russell Chandler b. ABT. 1832, MS
Parents: Nancy Hickman and Drury H. Chandler Robert Bridges was legal
guardian of William after Drury's death; Robert was married to one of
the daughters of William Chandler, father of Drury. Source:
Information provided by Esther Pogue per Drury Chandler Probate
records, on file Copiah Co., MS. However, the only early marriage
record for Robert Bridges that I found was the following: BRIDGES,
ROBERT Spouse: WILLIAMS, SAVILLA Marriage Date: 01 Mar 1832' County:
Lawrence State: MS ! If Robert was married to one of William's
daughters, she may have died and this may represent a second
marriage. Do you have any information that would shed any light on
this? C- In searching for Robert Bridges in Simpson Co., MS, I also
came up with 7) the following information. Robert Bridges is living
next to Drury in 1840. The 1840 Census (below) certainly looks like
the Bridges who are sons of Moses (b. 1773): (2) Moses BRIDGES 0:
